We develop, deliver, and spread the concept and method of Democracy Fitness trainings in close collaboration with national and international organizations, foundations, and institutions that share our ambition to strengthen democracy from the ground up.

Here you can learn more about the partners who help make it all possible.

Foundations

Robert Bosch Stiftung, Germany, 2026, Support 197.788 EUR

In 2026 The German Robert Bosch Foundation supports the programme “Democracy Fitness. Strengthening democracy muscles around the globe for a better democratic future”. This project focuses on building a sustainable, partner-led infrastructure, including instructor training, data collection and digital community platforms, to ensure democratic resilience and inclusive, high-quality scaling across diverse contexts.

Nordea-fonden, Denmark, 2021-2023, Support 3,2 mio. DKK

In 2020 the Danish foundation Nordea-fonden supported the youth program “Democracy Fitness for young people all over Denmark”  Below you can read a summary:

“The project has succeeded in reaching a wide audience across the country. It is difficult to give a clear indication of the exact scale of the project due to the varied implementation among partner organisations and trainers. At the same time, the project is still under development in many places, which means its scale could potentially grow significantly over the coming year.

The participants have turned out to be a more age-diverse group than the one the project originally set out to reach. However, this is seen as a strength of the project, as it demonstrates that Democracy Fitness can be used in many different contexts and with many different target groups. At the same time, the results suggest that participants over the age of 20 find Democracy Fitness sessions more motivating than younger participants.

Overall, the majority of participants have expressed positive views, and the trainers interviewed feel that the concept has the potential to bring about change and is already doing so.”

Advocate Europe, 2019, Support 50.000 EUR

In 2019 the call Advocate Europe supported the development of Democracy Fitness Trainer Camps. Four test-Camps were held in Tallinn, Copenhagen, Vilnius and Riga enabling around 100 people to perform the first Democracy Fitness trainings as trainers.
